MS makes, sells 65nm 'Falcon' Xbox 360s

Price cut?

Given that this should save them a fair bit of money manufacturing, does this mean there's another price cut coming in time for christmas? It's widely known there's a budget version of the PS3 coming out soon and cutting the price would spoil it somewhat for sony

not bad.

lets hope it wont overheat this time..

But surely...

... if it is a 65nm part, the word 'Canada' wouldn't be the only change? Wouldn't the die size be significantly smaller?

JeffyPooh

Of course...

Canada is colder. Get it?

Looks like it didn't help much...

But not all the Halo 360s have the 65nm. Only one batch is confirmed so far

Latest 360's just as unreliable as before.

Days after hitting retail, there are already reports of Falcon enabled 360's being just as crappy.

The real question

So, do the new Falcon machines run any more quietly?

Because my old 360 is running along just fine, thanks, but the volume of the thing could be better.
