Mio launches cheap-as-chips sat nav

Not exactly cheap

Thumb Down

£140 is not cheap for an 'entry level' satnav.

£99 would be good.

Try the Acer e305 then - I paid £99 inc.VAT for mine. Does exactly what I want with a minimum of fuss and the UK maps also include the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, if that's what floats your boat. The one downside is the software that comes with it is crap - ActiveSync? Yeuck!

It doesn't do the speed camera thing though, but since I have this annoying habit of obeying speed limits it's not a big deal for me.
