Why are these phones always called iphone killer and not just rival?

More to the point, when will some phone manufacturers realise that the 'killer feature' of the iphone is the interface and the ease of use.

The iphone is far from perfect, but it sure does feel good and work well. But, to be honest, I'm a Nokia man and am about to get a new Navigator!
