Oh dear, I've one of these chargers and had been using the software; went through the security adviser, notice I hadn't allowed the "run dll as app" in the firewall excemptions, so I'm 'probably' alright.
Have now uninstalled the software, and 'uninstalled' Energizer from my will buy from list, now reallocated to the 'buy from when after hell freezer over' list.
Its astonishing that a major manufacturer can be so lax to allow this to happen and to have allowed it to go on for so long. I hope some form of class action suit takes a chunk out of their profits, I'm assuming no govt. agency will have the balls to do anything about this.
What on earth is the point of making a phone that fails this badly in its primary task ie making calls as a mobile phone.
"Call quality was surprisingly poor, due for the most part to the speaker. If you crank it up full – and you'll need to, unless you have cat-like hearing powers – voices invariably sound a little muddied and there's a harshness to the tone that we haven't heard on a quality phone for a while"
I have a Geko 201, with older 2.50 firmware, tried it out today, date shows as 24 April 2008.
However I downloaded the test route, I rode today, onto the pc and reading them in GPS Tracker, the dates and times are all correct. Well a uniform hour out, but I think I haven't got it set corectly vis GMT and UTC.
So unless it starts acting up, I don't see this as an issue, I have a wristwatch/Calender for the correct date.
I wouldn't put much faith in those statistics on web browser use that you link to, as the site itself says:
"W3Schools is a website for people with an interest for web technologies. These people are more interested in using alternative browsers than the average user. The average user tends to use Internet Explorer, since it comes preinstalled with Windows. Most do not seek out other browsers.
These facts indicate that the browser figures above are not 100% realistic. Other web sites have statistics showing that Internet Explorer is used by at least 80% of the users.
Anyway, our data, collected from W3Schools' log-files, over a five year period, clearly shows the long and medium-term trends."
Personally, I blame the soviets; we knew where we stood with them. Life was so much easier then, now we have to go out and actively find/make up new enemies.
Is this another example of a manufacturer concentrating on blotting the specification sheet and forgetting the core function of a camera, taking good quality images ?
Surely this is too expensive at nearly twice the price of the original SCC format as 'defined' by Asus. Why not keep the netbook tag for the modestly priced devices and start review these things as mini-laptops, after all some of them have the prices to match.
Less to do with an economic downturn and more to do with this; how many of the games listed are new, rather than just another exercise in milking a franchise/series.
*Pirate because I'd guess a lot of people cant even be bothered to steal Gridiron 09 etc.
