Having to update Acrobat/Reader on Windows wouldn't be such a PITA if Adobe were to provide an MSI installation/upgrade package which you could roll out through Group Policy.
I tried to create such a thing using Symantec Packager and it failed miserably.
Oh well, only 20 desktops with 8.x here... oh, and where's the patch for 7.x?
I'm wondering if anyone can confirm whether, once Vista is all you can buy, you'll still be able to exercise "downgrade rights"? That's normally a get-out so although you have to buy Vista, you can then immediately wipe that OS and install XP instead.
"But couldn't he pony up a store credit for at least $200? That's how much the company pilfered from all those gullible souls over the past month and change."
Pilfer:
v.tr. To steal (a small amount or item).
v.intr. To steal or filch.
So Apple actually *stole money* from early iPhone buyers? Seems to me they'd be after more than a store credit if that was the case. How about a class action lawsuit, they're always popular?
Seriously, El Reg's journalistic standards have plummeted recently. Keep it up and you'll be gone from my bookmarks toolbar.
